Who We Are

About Us

Making Conversation changes the narrative of a place often unfairly viewed as impoverished and crime-ridden with little hope for upward mobility. History has often been told by prominent, educated white men. Making Conversation reverses that notion by bringing underrepresented stories to the forefront, providing a distinguished platform via museum exhibition and art installation, and leaving participants empowered to join in removing the remnants of Columbus’ institutional segregation. In light of scheduled renovations to the Warren Williams Homes public housing neighborhood (hereafter referred to as Warren Williams), The Columbus Museum will collaborate with adults, teens, and children residing in Warren Williams to gather stories, impressions, and pictures of growing up in Warren Williams or similar neighborhoods.
